let's get fizz-ickle (& other stuff)

CHRONICLES OF A GROWLING STOMACH
Subtitled: Let's Get 'Fizz-ickle' and Other Matters

ok, so this is my first major entry in a (hopefully) fantastic series depicting my psychotic, perverted self biding time away in college freshmanship. (i'll give you my newest vocabulary word: BLOST meaning "blog post". i'm tired of typing "blog post"'s everytime i want to convey that YES, i love writing in this little ironic journal. calling the Webster people...)

1) let's get fizz-ickle (d'oh, the MAIN topic!)
yesterday was my first time attending a formal PE class. i've dreaded tuesdays (from now on) because of this... getting permission to skid out of class (which i'm not wont to do), walking approximately 2 miles, 7 minutes tops to get to the annex and damn i'm not exaggerating, the thought that i'll reach home almost EVENING time, and the worst: changing into nerdy PE attire. how ghastly can a loose-fitting mint green shirt and skimpy-short shorts look to you? and the fact that there are only 2 loos nearest to the annex! one is just beside the room (lights very dim, a little dirty, cramped, and SMELLY... and usually it's locked because of conscious girls) and the other, at the back of the football field which takes a longer stretch (and man, is the ambiance opposite!)

and so, after a quick walkathon from the RdP building to the football field did i decide to change in the adjoining 'better' CR. (felt like the rabbit in "alice in wonderland"... "i'm late! i'm late!") i went into the shower cubicle and zappily donned my nerdwear... and the rest looked like people have just seen a Swiss Guard on ramp or something. my usual conscious self was activated while walking the stretch from there to the PE room (because the shortcut was uh, barred.) imagine my white legs contrasting with the blackness of the skimpy short shorts! really, i'm attending a class for the nerdy bunch! (and who said I WEREN'T ONE! *puny laugh*) how i wished i were the sporty ones... at least their outfits looked more decent compared to this! i guess the bystanders across the field were pretty much accustomed to the green-ness. but still... ugh!

(discretion: i hope no uste people reads this! i *might* get incarcerated!)

what followed was a very boring, dragging lecture on physical fitness. many things in this particular class reminded me of my old home, sjcs: the lectures of course (the lesson was very similar to how we started pehm last year... zzz), being sheltered when in fact it's imperative to do this sort of stuff outside, the atmosphere (same as the first), and the teacher. i saw many PE teachers here that's umm, on the "heavy" side. again, the sj pehm teachers i've encountered were umm, like that too. i know that physicality is not the gauge to be really heathily fit, it's just that there's a bit of irony in this case. heheh.

the good thing? well, at least i can get along with people i meet in the class, and i'm excused for my very valid lateness (just don't do it frequently dear). so, till the next tuesday. i fervently desire that this class gets to PUMP IT UP, lest i doze off on it!

2) oh cutie, where art thou?
i repeat the damn rule: BOOKS BEFORE BOYS! but as a sane specimen of the female species, it's not forbidden to look around and notice guys "with the factor", right? but so far, search results show NONE. none in my classroom, none in the corridors, (i think) none in the building, and none... well, let's be hopeful! maybe i just don't notice them hanging around like wallflowers or my periphery isn't up to superior cutie radar standards. most of the men i see are g-a-y (the downside of putting commerce and arts in the same building), so pardon me for not seeing the light!

3) geek in action
i'm *trying* to change my study habits lately. i'll put my draft here:
  • no using of computer (esp. the INTERNET) unless i really need/want to. limited to 3 times a week.

  • after dinner, START DOING MY HOMEWORK!

  • cut-off time: 10 PM so i can get enough rest.

  • study in advance whenever possible.

  • make personal notes aside from class notes.

  • there. next time i'll print one out for myself.

JULY 1: ORIENTATION DAY! cheerio! :)
