second childhoods?!

plotting penguins!

why am i experiencing childish mirth whenever there's a cartoon movie around? i'm not old, but i now have a definite interest in animation! my symptoms became very visible three months ago, when the movie Robots was out in the theaters... i was so into the whole shebang i persisted my parents to watch (but they said no!) and so i ended up dragging (well not really) one of my friends to the moviehouse. i'm so magnetized with celluloid magic: how they look, act, talk, whatever!

before that, i'm a regular potato for "Spongebob Squarepants", and sometimes "Blue's Clues" and "Dora the Explorer". i like the cuteness and the laughs of Bikini Bottom, whilst learning like a baby in the educational-geared shows. once in a while i watch the nickelodeon shows "Hey Arnold" and "As Told By Ginger"... they have nice stories.

to diagnose, i think i didn't feel the end of my childhood that's why i crave for these toons. when i was young, yeah i did watch cartoons but they weren't much... i think back then there was no "Cartoon Network" and i didn't like anime, which was my peer's favorite shows. (no magic powers for me baby!) i love them now, but i fear i might seem too weird for it. AM I?!?!

so when "Madagascar" came along, don't be surprised that i bit into it quickly! what intrigued me most was the penguins! they're sooo CUTE (however cunning)!!! the way Joe Penguin (the leader of the pack) say "this is all part of a whacked-out conspiracy!" and how they slide through the ship and karate-chop the sailor... haha! i liked the movie, it was very funny.

the funniest part was the "spoofs": like when they were all stuck on the island, Alex, Gloria, Melman was in one side while Marty had all the fun, there was a scene where they spoofed "Castaway" when a very bored Alex shouted to a ball "Spalding!" (? dont remember the brand)... and "American Beauty" where a hungry, steak-deprived Alex dreamed of laying in a sea of rosy steaks (steaks falling like petals!), it was very hilarious!

please... i'm still a kid at heart, don't criticize me! :)
