who dey!

the Linz family wins!

the Linz family got the $1-Million prize!!! hooray!!!

my jubilation over the outcome of theseason finale of The Amazing Race 8: Family Edition just two days ago (to mention, we didn't have our wednesday PE!) hasn't waned yet... i was overjoyed with the fact that my two favorites, the Linzes and the Bransens were able to hurdle this 55-day race till the very end. my eyes were glued to the screen for approximately two hours, going through all the heart-stopping moments... for a while there in the first hour i thought the Weavers (still crappin' around) were really leading, thanks to the lucky cab, but soon everything eased and everyone was on their feet at the Stade Olympique... and even for a teeny bit, i like Rolly Weaver for being a taskmaster (with all the roadblocks) and his beautiful blond mop o' hair (i would really like to mess it up). but still, i don't wanna see the rest of them lot. moving on...

one of my favorite scenes would be the Linzes in their "curl it" detour... they were so hilarious and they really had a fun time playing it... one of the brothers was even talking about putting up a curling rink in their hometown, he was so into it... that made me laugh. plus the trapeze and the CN Tower thing... amazing... the Linzes waited for the Bransens in spotting the yellow flag, and left the Weavers out! haha... this shows the two teams had a wonderful alliance (again, let's match them! *LoL*)

the best would be the last roadblock, of course... the jigsaw was the most exciting part ever to determine the winner! i really didn't know (anymore) who to root for, Nick or Wally... it was a close fight! the camera angle of the two guys solving the "US state" puzzle brought so much suspense, i could almost feel my heart thumping! (haha... overkill =p) in the end, Alex got it first (with just around a minute's interval) which catapulted them to the top! wow!!! though i had to give Wally kudos for giving it a great shot (as he's a history-loving person, i knew he did well on it)...

in the end, the Linz family gets one million dollars, and the Bransens win the post-TAR GMC Yukon (add to that another car from their past 1st placed leg and free gas!) -- everybody happy! :) the welcoming moment with phil and the past racers was beautiful... and when everyone hugged each other... man, i wish i were there. LOVE this season!

how about a family picture? :)
