can't take my eyes off.. (part2)

from the movie --the constant gardener--

where art thou, ralph fiennes?
...hey...he's alive AND kicking!

it was a real good surprise to me that he's back on the running in the movie world... i unexpectedly saw an article about him on TIME magazine (uh-huh, my fave mag... since it's readily open and all haha) that he's got 5 new films up this year! the article discussed about his almost barely-there presence in the recent years (after all the buzz with "schindler's list" and "the english patient"... --*my opinion, frankly i don't know what's the big deal with the 1997 best pic.. bored me to pieces.. hmm*) and now he's on again in many aspects: an empathic lead in dramas (in "the constant gardener" and "the white countess"), a romantic comedy lead (don't remember the movie title..), voicing a lovable brit clay character (in "wallace and gromit"), and let's not forget his transcendance as Lord Voldemort (or Voldie, for the fans! in "HP: The Goblet of Fire"). all opening this year! yep, he's got it going on.

have i told you HE was my FIRST CELEB CRUSH? ;p

the lame reason: i *fell* for him while watching "the avengers" (ha, ha, ha). i was 10 then, around november of '98. see? funny but i still remember the "bathroom scene" with him in the nude (?) reading the papers... and the fact that i tried to get in but unfortunately caught red-handed because i was OBVIOUSLY UNDERAGED when "the end of the affair" was playing in theaters..

i absolutely liked this guy. i watched almost half of his movies (and a Discovery Docu of nicholas & alexandra of russia, with him and former wife alex kingston voicing the royals)... there's something about him that's so je ne sais quoi... he's handsome in a way that's enigmatic... whatever. what shocked me most while reading the time article was that after divorcing kingston, ralph went into a relationship with some other actress (francesca annis -- who is she?) who's eighteen years HIS senior! now that beats the tom-katie fizz! imagine: he's 42 now, so that makes her 60! **eyes boggle** but who am i to judge? maybe she's hot.. (goes to research)

anyways, save the affectations, i have a Skin Disease presentation to tinker with... (the agony!)

and i just realized i watched too much tv the past week. my past tv addiction has come back to haunt me! bad, bad girl.
